Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Denies Parallel Talks with US

The spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry stated that the only ongoing negotiation process between Iran and the US consists of the current indirect talks led by Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araqchi, and the US Special Envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff.
Esmail Baqaei, during his weekly press conference on Monday, firmly denied claims of parallel negotiations between Iran and the United States.Baqaei emphasized that Iran and the US have held four rounds of transparent talks, all of which have been officially reported, and no other process exists beyond this framework.He added that despite the contradictory statements from the US, the Islamic Republic of Iran remains determined to prove its legitimate rights and reach a fair, reasonable, and sustainable agreement.Baqaei praised the constructive role of Qatar and Oman in facilitating the Iran-US negotiations and expressed gratitude for their efforts.Referring to Iran’s good relations with all Persian Gulf littoral states, he urged these countries to prioritize the region’s stability and interests, adopting policies that strengthen the region free from third-party interference.
