Iranian Army Hovercrafts Armed with Long-Range Missiles
The commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army's Navy announced that the army's hovercrafts have been equipped with long-range missiles.
Rear Admiral Shahram Irani, the commander of the Iranian Navy, made the announcement on the sidelines of the ongoing Zolfaghar 1403 military exercise. He stated that during the exercise, the long-range missiles will also be tested.Rear Admiral Irani highlighted the capabilities of Iranian youth and scientists in producing military equipment, emphasizing that Iran's defense industries have successfully designed and produced heavy hovercrafts for the first time. These hovercrafts, named Piroozan, will soon join the Iranian Army’s Navy. The main phase of the Zolfaghar 1403 joint military exercise began on Saturday in the coastal areas of Makran -Southern Iran-, the Sea of Oman, and the Northern Indian Ocean.Units from the infantry, armored, mechanized, air defense systems, naval forces, as well as subsurface and surface vessels of the Iranian Army are participating in this exercise.
