IRGC: Hamas Leader Haniyeh Martyred by Short-Range Projectile, with Sever Explosion
Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that the assassination attempt on Ismail Haniyeh, the political leader of Hamas, was carried out with a short-range projectile with a warhead of approximately 7 kilograms, accompanied by a severe explosion fire, from outside his residence in Tehran.
On Saturday, in its third statement regarding the situation surrounding the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh, the IRGC emphasized that investigations and reviews indicate that this terrorist operation was carried out by the Zionist regime with the support of the criminal American government.The statement mentioned avenging Martyr Haniyeh's blood as a definite matter, and stressed that severe and decisive punishment, at a specific time, place, and manner, awaits the adventurous and terrorist Zionist regime.Haniyeh and a member of his security team were martyred last Wednesday in an attack in Tehran. The Hamas leader had traveled to Tehran to attend the presidential inauguration ceremony of Masoud Pezeshkian. Ismail Haniyeh's body was buried in Qatar on Friday.
