Top Iran Military Body Rules out Bullet Signs on President Rayeesi's Crashed Copter
The General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, in its first report on the recent copter crash that saw the martyrdom of President Rayeesi and his entourage, said the wreckage of the helicopter did not bear any bullet holes or similar signs.
The report, released on Thursday, also said the tragic incident happened while the helicopter was flying along its pre-planned route and did not deviate from the course.Besides President Rayeesi, his accompanying delegation including Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, the governor of East Azerbaijan province, the Friday Prayer leader of Tabriz as well as the crew of the copter were martyred in the incident in northwestern Iran.The top Iranian military body added an investigative team tasked with examining the incident was dispatched to the crash site on Monday, and could gather remarkable the information surrounding the incident and the elements behind the air incident. The report also said the helicopter caught fire after crashing into a mountainous area, adding communications were established between the aircraft and the ground control, and that there was nothing suspicious involved.
