Top Iran Military Commander: Operation “True Promise” Achieved All Objectives
The Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces said the operation “True Promise” against the Israeli regime was successfully carried out, achieving all its objectives.
Major General Mohammad Baqeri said on Sunday during the operation, the major intelligence center in Jabal ash-Shaykh along the border with Syria, as well as the Nevatim Airbase which houses F-35 fighter jets, were successfully targeted. Both of the centers were used in the Israeli regime’s attack on Iran’s mission in Damascus. These bases were to great extent destroyed and left unfunctional. The top Iranian military commander said with the proper operation planning made, neither the Iron Dome, nor the Israeli regime’s missile defense shield could act properly to intercept the drones, ballistic and cruise missiles used in the operation. General Baqeri said, in the operation True Promise, we did not target economic and populated centers in the occupied territories, we just meant to remind the aggressor Zionists that their crimes will not go unanswered. Referring to Israel’s attack on the Iranian consulate in the Syrian capital Damascus, General Baqeri said the Israeli regime breached Iran’s red lines, prompting us to respond.General Baqri added, to us the military operation against Israel is over and that we do not intend to continue it, but if the Israeli regime does anything more against Iran, be it on Iran’s soil or outside including in Syria, our next operation will be more intense.
He also added we have conveyed a message to the US, through the Swiss embassy in Tehran, warning that if Washington gets involved in the Israeli regime’s possible actions against Iran, their bases in the region will not be safe and that we will deal with them as well. He added contrary to the US officials’ claims, the Israeli regime’s raid in Damascus was carried out with the US greenlight. The US officially says they are not seeking to expand tension in the region, but our intelligence proves they did their best, in Iraq and Jordan, to thwart the Iranian retaliatory operation. The top Iranian military commander reiterated that Iran’s Armed Forces are fully prepared to defend the country and, if necessary, will act repeatedly to that end.
