Iranian Minister: Oil Exports to Continue as Usual Despite US Sanctions

Iran’s Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad stated that the country’s oil exports will “continue as usual”, despite the United States reimposing sanctions on such sales.
Iran has “long established the necessary structures” to counter the impact of US sanctions, Paknejad wrote on Telegram on Tuesday. He added that “these mechanisms” were not dismantled during the 60-day waiver and “have remained in place".
The US Treasury Department has recently announced that the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) revoked Iran-related General License X, which had authorized the production, delivery and sale of Iranian oil under Washington’s interim agreement with Tehran.
Referring to the cancellation last week of a 60-day waiver, the Iranian oil minister said, The Americans, as usual, breached their obligations and violated Article 10 of the Memorandum of Understanding on termination of the war between Iran and the US.
