Security Chief: Iran Not to Tolerate Disrespectful Language
Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Mohammad Baqer Zolqadr delivered a firm response to US President Donald Trump’s latest threats against Tehran, stressing that the Islamic Republic will not tolerate disrespectful language and will reply accordingly if necessary.
In a statement issued on Monday, Zolqadr directly addressed Trump, describing him as “delusional” for threatening Iran’s 91 million people.“To the delusional President of America, who today threatened 91 million Iranians, I say: Previously, as the president of a rootless country with a mere 250-year history, you spoke in similar terms about erasing Iran’s several-thousand-year-old civilization. The only result for you was defeat, helplessness, and desperate pleas for negotiations and ceasefire,” Zolqadr said.
Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office on Monday, Trump stated that the US will win the Iran war "one way or the other"."We're either going to make an accord, or we're going to finish the job. It won't be tough to finish the job," Trump declared. The remarks come as a clear rejection of Washington’s repeated bids at intimidation. Iranian officials have consistently emphasized that Tehran will never bow to bullying or disrespectful rhetoric from Washington.
Iran's security chief emphasized that Iranians are unfamiliar with and unmoved by the language of threats from foreigners. "Therefore, speak to the Iranian people with respect; otherwise, we will respond to you in a different language,” he added.
