Iran's Security Chief Describes Lebanon as Tehran’s “Red Lines”

Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Mohammad Baqer Zolqadr warned Sunday that Lebanon is central to the Islamic Republic’s regional security posture, stressing that any breach of Tehran’s “red lines” would not be tolerated.
Writing on X on Sunday, Zolqadr said “the unity of the fronts has created a security chain in defense of the region".
The warning came after Israel attacked Beirut’s Southern suburbs on Sunday, in the latest military escalation that observers warn could derail delicate peace negotiations between the United States and Iran.Iran has made clear in the negotiations that attacks on Lebanon were a red line. When Israel last struck the Beirut suburbs a week ago, Iran responded by firing missiles at the occupied territories.
“Lebanon is our lifeblood, and any violation of the Islamic Republic’s red lines will not be tolerated,” Zolqadr added.
