Army Spokesman: Foreign Countries Enforcing Sanctions on Iran to Face Problems in Strait of Hormuz

Iranian Army Spokesperson Mohammad Akraminia warned foreign states enforcing sanctions on Tehran that they will face problems when their ships pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
“From now on, countries that follow the United States in enforcing sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran will certainly face problems passing through the Strait of Hormuz,” Akraminia stated Sunday. He emphasized that the military conflict against the US and Israel had forced Iran "to use the geopolitical potential of the Strait of Hormuz" and that Tehran was now "exercising sovereignty" over it. The army spokesman added that any vessel wishing to pass through the Strait must now "coordinate its actions with Iran".According to Akraminia, these measures "could bring Iran many benefits".
The US has imposed a wide range of sanctions against Iran for decades. A host of other countries, including the European Union bloc, Britain and Australia, have followed suit.Tehran has threatened vessels linked to nations who provided support for the US and Israeli military attacks on Iran.
Akraminia also said the US failed to achieve any of its objectives and suffered defeat as a result of its attack on Iran."If we want to make an assessment, we must note that the enemy did not achieve any of its previously defined goals and suffered defeat in this war," he stated. The US actions in the region had only "strengthened unity and solidarity inside Iran", the spokesperson noted.
