4 Mossad Spies Captured in Iran Amid US-Israeli War
The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) intelligence forces captured four individuals on charges of spying for the Israeli spy agency Mossad.
According to a statement released by the Public Relations Department of the provincial IRGC Quds Force on Wednesday, the arrestees were each in contact with Mossad intelligence officers, gathering intelligence on sensitive security and military installations.They would then take pictures of the sites and share their relevant coordinates with Mossad officers via social media platforms.The detainees have been handed over to judicial authorities to face due legal procedures.
Since the onset of the US-Israeli war against Tehran, Iranian authorities have arrested dozens of individuals in several provinces across the country for “mercenary” activities.During the Zionist regime's war on Iran in June, the security agents have also detained several Mossad operatives in separate operations that also led to the confiscation of large amounts of explosives, remote controls and spying equipment.Moreover, several workshops producing suicide drones linked to the Israeli secret service have been discovered by Iranian intelligence agents across the country.Tehran has also set up a special headquarters tasked with identifying Mossad agents in Iran.A recently enhanced espionage law allows those accused of spying to face the death penalty and confiscation of property.
The statement added the IRGC intelligence and security forces are closely monitoring all movements and attempts by individuals affiliated with foreign intelligence services, and all such operatives will be detected and harshly dealt with.
