Pezeshkian: Over 14mln Iranians Ready to Die for Country
More than 14 million Iranians have stressed they are ready to give their lives to defend the country in the war against the United States and Israel, President Masoud Pezeshkian said.
“Over 14 million proud Iranians have, up to this moment, declared their readiness to sacrifice their lives in defense of Iran,” the president wrote on X on Tuesday.
The call to citizens is part of the “Janfada (Sacrificing Life) for Iran” campaign, which began at the start of the war waged by Washington and the Tel Aviv regime last month and is aimed at garnering national unity.Earlier this month, Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf stated that some 7 million Iranian citizens are ready to take up arms and defend their country.The United States and the Israeli regime waged a war against Iran in late February.Since then, the Iranian Armed Forces have carried out nearly 100 waves of retaliatory military operations, codenamed Operation True Promise 4.
“I, too, have been, am, and will remain devoted to sacrificing my life for Iran,” Pezeshkian added.
