Iranian Speaker Mocks US over Downing of American Military Aircraft
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf mocked Washington over a rescue mission for American pilots, sharing an image purporting to show the wreckage of a US aircraft shot down by Tehran.
Writing on X on Sunday, Qalibaf attached a photo of the destroyed US aircraft, and sarcastically said that if Washington were to suffer three more similar defeats, it would be “utterly ruined".
In a triumphant post on Truth Social, US President Donald Trump claimed the second US service member whose F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jet was downed over Iran had been rescued. The precise details of the astonishing operation have yet to emerge, however Teharn has announced “several enemy American aircraft” were destroyed in Isfahan and denied the mission was successful.
“If the United States gets three more victories like this, it will be utterly ruined,” the Iranian Parliament speaker added.
