More Details on Israeli Attack on High-Level Meeting in Iran Revealed
Fars News Agency disclosed new details regarding an aerial attack carried out by the Zionist regime against a high-level meeting of Iran's Supreme National Security Council in Tehran during the 12-day war last month.
According to the report, the attack occurred shortly before noon on June 16 during a meeting attended by the heads of the three branches of the Iranian government including President Masoud Pezeshkian and other senior officials. The session was taking place in the lower levels of a secure government facility in Western Tehran when the aggression began.FNA reported that the assault was modeled after an Israeli plan to assassinate Hezbollah leader Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, involving the launch of six bombs or missiles aimed at entry and exit points to block evacuation routes and disrupt ventilation.
The Israeli regime unleashed its war against Iran last month, with the US support, assassinating several top-ranking military commanders, scientists, and hundreds of civilians—including women and children. At least 1,060 people were martyred and 5,650 injured in the Israeli regime’s attacks. In an interview with the US media personality Tucker Carlson, the Iranian president confirmed that Israel tried to assassinate him by bombarding an area in which he was holding a meeting.
The FNA's report added that following the explosions, power was cut to the targeted floor. However, Iranian officials reportedly managed to escape through a pre-designated emergency hatch. Some, including the president, are said to have sustained minor leg injuries while evacuating the premises.
