Iranian Commander Vows Response Beyond Enemies' Expectations
Deputy Chief of the Iranian Army for Coordination Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari warned the United States and its ally in the region, Israel, that they will receive an appropriate retaliatory response beyond imagination in case of any attack against the country.
The ranking commander on Monday warned that Tehran will inflict “beyond imagination” damage to enemies if they engage in any kind of onslaught against Iran.“We have a duty to be fully prepared against any threat, and we are completely ready,” he said.“Anyone who seeks to violate the territorial integrity and interests of our country can be assured that the damage they will incur will be beyond their imagination,” the military official added.
Washington and Tel Aviv have time and again threatened to attack Iran's nuclear facilities if the ongoing Iran-US negotiations, mediated by Oman, hit a dead end.A CNN exclusive report, citing multiple US officials familiar with the matter, said the US has obtained new intelligence suggesting that the occupying regime has been moving air munitions and conducting air exercises, signaling a heightened state of readiness.One senior US official told CNN the US is stepping up intelligence collection to be prepared to assist if Israeli leaders decide to attack.Another source familiar with the matter added that Tel Aviv does not have the capacity to destroy Iran’s nuclear program without Washington's assistance.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Sayyari stressed that Iran has managed to manufacture weapons and ammunition domestically, despite the Western sanctions.Today, “by relying on our domestic capabilities, we meet our needs”, he said.The senior commander noted that Iran domestically produces more than 90% of the military equipment needed by the armed forces, adding, "We have not only become self-sufficient in securing our equipment, but are also active in the field of military equipment exports."
