Iran: US, Europe Emboldening Israel for Further Crimes in West Asia
Iran strongly condemned Israel's onslaught against Yemen, stressing that the United States and some European countries have further emboldened the Zionist regime to commit more heinous crimes across the region.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baqaei on Tuesday vehemently denounced the Zionist regime's aerial assault against Yemen’s civilian infrastructures, including Sana’a International Airport, a power generation facility and a cement factory.He also denounced the intensification of Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip and the continued massacre of Palestinian women and children.Baqaei emphasized that the support provided by the US, the UK, and certain European countries for the Zionist regime constitutes the principal enabler of Israel’s ongoing lawlessness and atrocities in the occupied Palestinian territories, as well as its repeated aggressions against Lebanon, Syria and Yemen.He asserted that the US and its allies are complicit in the crimes perpetrated by Israel against the Muslim people across the region.
Earlier in the day, Israeli military aircrafts launched significant airstrikes on the Yemeni capital Sana'a’s airport. The attacks killed at least three people and wounded 35 others, according to Al-Masirah TV.The raids came after a Yemeni ballistic missile struck the vicinity of the regime’s Ben Gurion Airport on Sunday, injuring at least eight.Yemen’s Armed Forces pledged to respond to the latest Israeli onslaught, warning that the regime's crimes “will not go unanswered”.
The Iranian Spokesperson stressed that Israel’s military attacks against Yemen and its deliberate targeting of the Arab country’s economic infrastructure and public facilities undoubtedly amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity, leaving no doubt regarding the malign intent of the regime’s decision-makers and their backers to undermine and destabilize the regional countries.Baqaei also warned against the expansion of Israeli belligerence across West Asia. He described the inaction of the United Nations Security Council in the face of Israel’s repeated violations of the fundamental principles of the UN Charter and international law as wholly irresponsible and indefensible.The diplomat finally called for urgent mobilization of the Islamic world to halt the acts of aggression by the Israeli regime against the people of the Islamic Ummah.
