Iran Denies Involvement in Drone Attack Against Netanyahu's Residence

Iranian Permanent Mission to the United Nations dismissed claims leveled by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against Tehran following a drone attack on his vacation home in the seaside town of Caesarea on Saturday.
An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) filled with explosives hit Netanyahu’s private residence in the coastal city of Caesarea on Saturday. The Prime Minister’s office announced that Netanyahu and his wife were not at the location at the time of attack, and there were no injuries in the incident.The drone was reportedly launched by Hezbollah resistance movement, in the first attack of the conflict aimed at such a high-ranking Israeli target.Netanyahu has claimed that “agents of Iran” were behind the attack and would “pay a heavy price".
But the Iranian permanent mission to the UN dismissed the claim, saying Iran had “already responded to the Israeli regime".Responding to a question about the attack on Netanyahu’s residence, it stressed, “The action in question has been carried out by Hezbollah in Lebanon.”
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baqaei also refuted Tehran's role in the drone attack on Netanyahu’s residence, stressing that the Zionist regime is used to falsehood“The Zionist regime has been founded upon lies and distortion of facts,” he said.The Iranian spokesman added that spreading lies has become an ordinary and usual method adopted by the Zionist regime and its “criminal leaders”.
