IRGC Seizes Togo-Flagged Oil Tanker for Fuel Smuggling
The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy confiscated a Togo-flagged oil tanker in the Persian Gulf waters over fuel smuggling, and arrested its 12 foreign crew members.
The IRGC Navy has confiscated a tanker carrying a huge amount of smuggled fuel in the Persian Gulf waters. All 12 crew members with Indian and Sri Lankan nationalities were also detained.The second naval zone of the IRGC announced in a statement on Monday that the vessel with the flag of Togo was carrying over 1.5 million liters of smuggled fuel.The Belt Guse tanker was seized off the coast of the southern port city of Bushehr.
