Iran's President-Elect Praises Yemen's Red Sea Military Operation

Iran’s President-Elect Masoud Pezeshkian praised the Yemenis’ anti-Israel naval operations in the Red Sea, stressing that unlike some Arab countries, Sana'a has practically supported the Palestinian people amid the Zionist regime's war against the besieged Gaza Strip.
During a telephone conversation with the Head of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council Mahdi Al-Mashat on Sunday, Pezeshkian praised the "courageous" decision of the Yemeni leadership and people to support Palestine amid the Gaza war, and said the “bitter” events in West Asia stem from the presence of Israel and the subversive policies of the West. The new president said the Yemenis entered this battle with all courage and expressed confidence that the Iranian people and all free nations will appreciate Yemen's support for Palestine under the ongoing difficult circumstances.Pezeshkian criticized certain Muslim countries for acting only in accordance with their own interests and issuing statements. The president-elect also expressed hope that the siege on the Yemeni people would be lifted and that peace would be established in the war-ravaged country.
Yemen has pledged solidarity with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip which has been under Israel’s relentless bombardment since early October, and targeted Israeli-owned and -bound merchant vessels in the Red Sea. The Yemeni Armed Forces have fired hundreds of missiles and drones since the start of the retaliatory military operations that it has been conducting in support of the besieged enclave.Sana'a has vowed not to stop attacking the Israeli-linked ships until the Zionist regime ends the barbaric aggression which has so far claimed the lives of 38,600 Palestinians, mainly children and women. In response, Washington formed a military coalition against Yemeni troops in the Red Sea and endangered maritime navigation in the strategic waterway. The American and British militaries have targeted Yemen with more than hundreds of airstrikes since January.Tehran has repeatedly stressed that the move proved once again that the pair sacrifice international security and stability for Israel's interests.Iran has on several occasions dismissed Western claims of smuggling arms to Yemen. Tehran announced that the Yemeni nation has made remarkable progress in the military field and manufacturing weapons and military equipment after facing the Saudi-led assault.
Al-Mashat, for his part, extended his congratulations to the Iranian president-elect over his victory in the election and gaining the trust of the Iranian people. The head of Yemen's Supreme Political Council stressed the success of the elections in Iran is considered as a victory for the Iranian people and the Islamic Revolution. He also thanked Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and the Iranian nation for their stance in support of Palestinians.#Iran#Yemen#Gaza#Israel
